sometime last week I asked  if he wanted a drawing, and he asked for a neko lady or Lucy/Nyuu from Elfin Lied. I thought I'd go for the neko lady theme, and since I'm sooo unimaginative I drew more fan art... this time Felicia from Darkstalkers.So this is for you !I'm quite happy with how it turned out, no matter how many little errors there are. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. I'm assuming you drew this from reference. though it seems like you do better when you draw from reference, you need to think about what you draw as an object rather than a 2-d image.
that might be what makes things a little wonky. this proves you have it in you to draw, try drawing something from a different angle.
I'm not trying to attack you by any means, so I'm sorry if it seems so. think of it like your animations, I think because you have to think of your characters as people rather than drawings that it helps you animate them.
just a suggestion. keep going though!

no no im not saying you've insulted me, because Im looking for this kind of comment (especially from folk like yerself). I just find if I say to myself Im going to draw something, its always the same thing, the same angle, blah blah. I thought this had a little more life to it, but it is still kind of... meh.
oh, and im also a sloppy animator. I cut corners and change things so I dont have to draw particular things like head turns and stuff... meh ; ;
oops... this sounds like a rant. im sorry! thank you though!

if you don't take yourself serious than it's hard for others to believe that you like to draw. even if you feel like your far from where you want to be, if you seriously and genuinely try, then anything you make, will just be a step forward.
